Wedding Night(mare)

Well I got a request to blog about my eventful wedding night because they hadnt yet heard the whole story. I suppose its blog worthy..and dont worry parents, there is no need to shield your childs eyes.

My husband and I got married just a few months ago, and for the wedding night reserved a room at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, Az. As you all know I am a mother, and my day started a lot earlier than it should have, so by the end of the night I was really ready for the reception to be over already so I could just go relax with my new husband.

We start our trip to the resort, but must stop for gas first. We pull off into the first gas station (we didnt have much back up fuel since my husband was running LATE to the wedding and drove around on E to get there) anyways, none of the pumps would read his beaten up credit card and the store was closed so we couldnt pay cash, so we chanced it and headed to the resort. We didnt have that far to go.

We did make it, but there was no parking by our room, so we had to park all the way on the other side of the resort, and walk the distance. We finally get there, and the key will not open the door. We have to call the front desk and ask them to send someone with a master. When the man arrives, his keys wont open it either. Turns out the battery for the lock was dead, and the maintenance man had left for the night, so we had to switch rooms. But since Chad had already been there earlier to decorate and make it all romantic and what not, all of our stuff was in there and we still needed to get in.

We are driven to the lobby to wait while the man figures out a plan of action, and decides to climb a ladder to the back balcony, and break in through the back arcadia door. He then comes back to get us and let us in to get our things. The room did look really nice though, I must give my husband some credit. Anyways we make it into a new room and change out of our wedding gear. By this time it has come to be around 11pm and we are both starving. We had a party the night before at Chads mom's house and still had plenty of food there from it, and it was only about 3 minutes away, so he decided to run there and grab some and bring it back for us. But as he is on his way back, he runs out of gas completely. Of course you remember we weren't able to fill up earlier that evening. His sister ends up having to drop him back off at the hotel, and by the time he finally made it back, I was passed out and well on my way to dreamland.

As you can imagine we were one frustrated couple the next morning when we woke up just in time for check out.
